Global Commerce conducted a marketing and recruitment mission to Europe in November 2007, visiting Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce led a business delegation of 14 participants, representing a variety of industries and professional services.

The Atlanta delegation presented a “Why Atlanta for Business” seminar for companies interested in investing in the U.S., focusing on the metro Atlanta region’s strengths. The seminar also included legal and financial presentations on how to start a business in the U.S. The Brussels Enterprises, Commerce & Industry organization hosted the seminar and a networking reception. The delegation also met with potential prospects while in Belgium.
The delegation then traveled to Amsterdam and met with a number of potential prospects as well as presented a “Why Atlanta for Business” seminar for companies interested in investing in the U.S. The seminar and reception was hosted by the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce.
While in London, the delegation divided to visit with companies in both London and Windsor. The British American Business Group in London gave insight to the delegation on business in the U.K. during the delegation’s visit.
The U.K. Trade & Investment Office in Manchester hosted a business roundtable for the delegation and companies in the Manchester region with specific interest in establishing operations in the U.S. The delegation also attended a luncheon sponsored by Pro-Manchester with 200+ business and city leaders in the Manchester region. Many potential prospects were identified from these events.
